This article is dedicated to the study of case category of the Erzya-Mordvin language, which has got as many other Finno-Ugric languages extensive case system and contains 12 cases. The investigation of semantic meanings and syntactic functions of the grammatical and local cases gives a possibility to discover deeply the contents of case system of the Erzya-Mordvin language.
